Meet the Artist

Hi, I'm Tara.

​I'm an artist, educator, and community arts organizer based in western Illinois.

I create expressive oil paintings inspired by the people, music, and moments that bring us together and

believe creativity has the power to build connection.

Whether I'm painting in my studio, designing a mural, or leading a community art project, my hope is always the same: 

to create work that helps people feel seen, connected, and inspired.​

When I'm not painting, you'll usually find me teaching high school art, working with the MC Art Collective, or chasing live music and festivals that remind me why I paint in the first place.
