Meet the Artist

Visual artist and educator based in Illinois. My work explores themes of home, memory, music, and emotional resilience--often shaped by personal experiences and the people and sounds that leave a lasting imprint.

Working primarily in oil, I create expressive portraits and figurative pieces that live in the space between vulnerability and strength. The process is intuitive and layered, allowing each piece to evolve through both technical refinement and emotional connection. The work is a reflection of lived experience, often rooted in moments of  healing, belief, and a return to 'home'.

Music moves through my work as both influence and anchor, guiding the rhythm, tone an energy of each painting.

In addition to  studio practice, I am a high school art teacher who is deeply committed to fostering creativity, confidence and voice in students. I believe in the power of being seen and supported--both in the classroom and beyond. This philosophy is carried into my own work, sharing hope while inviting viewers to pause, reflect and recognize the quiet strength found in becoming.
